Keisha Taylor's interests lies in exploring and using data and technology in business and for development, in an interdisciplinary way, particularly in emerging and developing economies and niche markets. In October 2014 she will pursue on scholarship an integrated PhD (MSc and PhD) in Web Science with the University of Southampton, in the UK to support this. She is currently Senior Manager, Business Planning and Research for TechSoup Global’s Data Services Programme and is a Director for the Caribbean Diaspora for Science and Technology (CADSTI) in the UK. She was an Internet Society Fellow to the 2012 OECD Technology Foresight Forum, “Harnessing data as a new source of growth: Big data analytics and policies.” Having successfully completed the DiploFoundation’s Internet Governance Capacity Building Programme she was selected as a DiploFoundation Fellow to the 2010 Internet Governance Forum in Vilnius, Lithuania and has actively participated in all IGFs since then, specifically for data oriented workshops. She engages with many groups, development researchers and practitioners, that analyse the creation, handling and use of data and knowledge and has done research and written on the subject. She was also a Policy Fellow for Access, a global digital rights NGO and other programmes she has worked on include a web based project, which encouraged community groups to think of resources as more than money by using an asset based community development approach. She has an MA in International Relations from the Universiteit van Amsterdam in the Netherlands and a BSc. in Sociology from the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago.
